Data and plotting scripts for reproducing figures from the paper "Deep Search for Joint Sources of Gravitational Waves and High-Energy Neutrinos with IceCube During the Third Observing Run of the LIGO and Virgo"

CONTENT

Data folders for reproducing Figure 1 (1262142545.615) and Figure 3 (1241247887.938). In each of these folders, Icecube neutrino data +/-500 s around the GPS time indicated by the folder name is contained in the icecubeneutrinolist.json file, while the lvc_skymap.fits.gz represents the gravitational wave skymap.

gwheno3UL.csv file contains the upper limit results.

O3I3-LVK-search-datarelease.ipynb: Python notebook to recreate the figures.

table1.csv is Table 1. presented in the Appendix of the paper. (Properties of the coincident neutrinos that produce a p-value of 0.01 or less.)

The Python notebook uses hpmoc, an ultra-high-performance, cross-platform toolset for working with multi-order coordinate HEALPix_ images. For installation, please visit https://github.com/markalab/hpmoc.git.
